Occupy Debrief and Emotional Support

Folks are starting to come to me and express the need to debrief the Occupy from the standpoint of mental and emotional support. While there is no question that--both as individuals and as a community--we have benefitted tremendously from our participation in the occupation of public space, many of us have also at times experienced personal difficulties. For some, the aftereffects linger.

Wounding that happens in community can be healed by community. How much interest is there is some sort of OE support group (one time, or ongoing, as needed) to address any of the following feelings resulting from any aspect of their participation?

* grief
* anger
* guilt
* alienation
* resentment
* confusion
* disillusionment
* frustration
* other

Empathy and compassionate listening are very much needed ingredients for the sustainability of this movement.
