Apologies, but no results were found.
Occupy Eugene began with a rally and march with thousands of people on October 15, 2011. Masses showed up to protest the greed of Wallstreet’s rich 1%. Opinions varied as to how to solve the problem, but there was agreement that something must be done to stop the wealthy from undermining local economies and destroying our planet for greed. With a failing economy, the 99% are struggling more and more while the 1% continue to get richer. When everyone showed up in parks to Occupy worldwide, it was a sign that the public wants change. Occupy Medical was there to support protesters in any way needed. Keeping people hydrated and informed about how to be an effective and safe activist was their most important first role. The need for the housed and unhoused to get help with medical needs became immediately apparent, and thus–Occupy Medical was born.
