SLEEPS (Safe Legally Entitled Emergency Places to Sleep) – HOUSING IS A HUMAN RIGHT/GWEN’S ACTION – NOVEMBER 17-19, 2012

On November 17, 2011 seventeen people were arrested at a protest against banks making billions of dollars and being bailed out with American taxes while foreclosing on homes through illegitimate means.  Gwen was one of the protesters arrested.  She had never even been in trouble before and when the Anniversary of her arrest arrived (Nov. 17, 2012), she decided to have another Direct Action at the Old City Hall Building.  She chained herself inside the fence closing off the building that could’ve been used to give people shelter.
