SLEEPS (Safe Legally Entitled Emergency Places to Sleep) – PROTEST AT THE ARTWALK- January 27, 2013

The SLEEPS Art Walk protest chalked outlines of live human figures on sidewalks in downtown Eugene to exemplify the issue of our unhoused unnecessarily dying on the streets.  Thousands of unhoused die in America from preventable causes such as weather exposure.  It is time to put an end to the inhumane circumstances that our unhoused neighbors endure because it is illegal to shelter yourself in order to sleep in the city.
