SLEEPS (Safe Legally Entitled Emergency Places to Sleep) – Interviews with SLEEPS Protesters

Members of SLEEPS participate through numerous ways in the campaign to create a way for Eugene’s unhoused to sleep legally.  First, there are the campers who are willing to put up a tent illegally and possibly receive expensive tickets.  Then there is the support crew that helps to provide the protest camps with needed essentials like water and food.  People must be available for helping to move the camp and for communicating with the media.  So many tasks are involved, such as legal observers when necessary and sign makers.  The interviews here will give a more in depth look at what SLEEPS means to the people involved and an idea of what it is like to be forced to break the law in order to sleep.
