Apologies, but no results were found.
Whoville was evicted from campsite after campsite in Eugene until finally arriving at Hilyard & Broadway Avenue. The small tent city stayed on the corner of the Hilyard & Broadway intersection from October to April and helped many people during the harsh winter weather conditions of 2013-14. During that time there was constant communication with the Eugene city government in an effort to obtain permission from the city for the unhoused to have shelter in Whoville legally. To educate the public about why the unhoused were protesting, many community events were organized. The city did eventually give Whoville permission to temporarily stay at the Hilyard site. The following media documents Whoville’s efforts to help the unhoused in Eugene have the basic human right to sleep.
