NIGHTINGALE HEALTH SANCTUARY (NHS) – OPEN HOUSE ON JANUARY 24, 2015 – Video by Lynn Porter/Homeless Action

Eugene’s fourth and fifth legal “rest stop” camps for the homeless, on county land on MLK, north of Autzen Stadium. Organized by NHS, a new nonprofit. Each camp can have up to 15 residents, for a total of 30. They will shelter people who have health issues, along with able-bodied people who can help them. This video includes interviews with two of the residents, Les and Red (Nathan Showers).
